I frequently get asked what art supplies I use, so I thought I would put together the main Pastel brands as well as the surface I create my art on.

Surface: Clairefontaine Pastelmat - This is available in a variety of colours and sizes, I usually buy it in large sheets and cut it down to the size I want, as I find it more economical this way.

Pastel Pencils: Derwent Pastel, Faber Castell Pitt Pastel, Stabilo Carbothello, Caran D'ache - These are all excellent pastel pencils, with a great range of colours.  Each brand has their own unique properties making them all a great choice for pastel work.  I try and buy them as a complete set, as this is the most economical way of buying them, however, it can get expensive so when I first started to use them, I started with Stabilo Carbothello and gradually purchased more brands when I was able to.

Other Supplies: There are a few other supplies that I use and I plan to have a new Youtube video made soon showing everything I use, so please do subscribe  to my channel HERE to be notified when I post new content.

I hope this has helped you if you are looking to use pastels and it would be great to see you over on YouTube, if you would like to learn more about the way create my art, the supplies I use, Art Journaling, techniques and lots more.
